North Platte, Nebraska—Residents and business owners are encouraged to attend
upcoming Town Hall public meetings for the North Platte and Lincoln County
comprehensive plans. Each event will offer a brief presentation and opportunities to
mark up maps and comment on growth and development.
Lincoln County:
• Monday, July 31 at 6:30 pm, Maria Lutheran Fellowship Hall, Hershey
• Wednesday, August 3 at 6:30 pm, Lincoln County Fairgrounds, Centennial Hall
North Platte:
• Tuesday, August 1 at 6:30 pm, Lincoln County Museum, 2403 N. Buffalo Bill Ave.
• Thursday, August 3 at 6:30 pm, Nebraskaland Bank Husker Room, 1400 S. Dewey
The Town Halls will feature a common presentation, with the County meetings
focusing on countywide growth and the City meetings focused on citywide growth.
“This is an opportunity to tell the City and County how you want to keep our
community a great place to live,” said Judy Clark, City of North Platte and Lincoln
County Planning Administrator.
The planning team will be available to answer questions and discuss online
participation. Countywide and citywide surveys will also be released for the project.
“The Comprehensive Plan covers all aspects of growth from housing and economic
development to zoning, transportation, and more,” stated Keith Marvin, AICP, of
Marvin Planning Consultants. “We want to hear from people across North Platte and
Lincoln County.”
