AUGUST 22, 2023 (CENTRAL CITY, NEB.) — Investigators with the Nebraska State Patrol Tech Crimes Unit, along with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) as well as the Central City Police Department, have arrested a Central City man after a child exploitation investigation.
On July 10, NSP underwent a search warrant at the residence of 1129 17th Avenue, in Central City. The search of the residence involved a child exploitation investigation.
Monday, Evan Burkhardt, 21, was located at a seperate residence in Central City and arrested for 10 counts of possession of child pornography. Burkhardt was booked in Merrick County Jail.
The investigation remains active.
