North Platte, NE, December 12, 2023 – Mid-Plains United Way is excited to announce its
upcoming Holiday Cafe at the Triple Bee Holiday Craft and Vendor Show on Saturday,
December 16, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, December 17, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Café will
be located in the concessions area at the D&N Event Center in North Platte.
“We are thrilled to partner with Triple Bee for this opportunity,” said Mid-Plains United Way
Executive Director, Haven Smith. “This is a new fundraising event for us. Rather than regular
concessions, we thought some delicious café-style comfort food would be a good option while
shopping the craft and vendor show. We have a few dishes prepared by our partner agency, the
North Platte Senior Center, that promise to be delicious. It’s significant, as well, as Mid-Plains
United Way funds their home-delivered meal program that delivers over 25,000 meals per year to
homebound senior citizens and the disabled.”
The Holiday Cafe will feature a variety of food and drink options, including a hot cocoa bar,
coffee, and baked goods. Proceeds from the Café benefit Mid-Plains United Way, which is
committed to supporting programs that make a difference in the community it serves in the areas
needed most.

supporting a great cause,” said Haven Smith.
