Kelsey Clairmont claimed runner-up honors on platform, while Nettie Knapton added a third-place finish, as Nebraska concluded a strong weekend at the Rutgers Diving Invitational in Piscataway, N.J., on Saturday.
Clairmont, a junior from Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, finished with a 242.35 over five dives to take second individually in the first platform competition of the season for the Huskers.
Knapton, a junior from Omaha, Neb., contributed a 236.35 to capture third place for the Big Red, while Frankie Webb added her third top-eight finish of the weekend with a 216.45 to complete Nebraska’s contingent on platform at the Rutgers Aquatics Center.
Sephora Ford from Rutgers took home the platform title with a 279.300, while West Virginia’s Sarah Krusinski managed a fourth-place finish with a 231.40.
Nebraska divers Abby Baxter and Antonina Harned will be back in action this week when they compete at USA Diving Winter Nationals in Bloomington, Ind.
The Husker swimming and diving team also returns to dual action this week when Nebraska plays host to Omaha at the Devaney Natatorium on Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 4 p.m. (CT).
