Joe Hagerty Joins the NEGOP as Political Director

Lincoln, NE – The Republican Party of Nebraska is proud to announce the addition of Joe Hagerty to its team, bringing an
abundance of experience in developing, managing, and implementing projects. His strength in facilitating voter engagement
initiatives coupled with training volunteers, organizing canvassing, and communicating to a team will be invaluable to
achieving our political objectives.

Joe received his Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration-Marketing and his Master’s of Science in Counseling with
a concentration in Student Affairs in Higher Education at the University of Nebraska-Omaha (UNO). After receiving his
Master’s Degree, Joe began working at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln as a Program Coordinator for Student
Organizations in the Office of Student Leadership, Involvement, and Community Engagement. In this role, Joe provided
leadership, support, and programmatic opportunities to nearly 500 Recognized Student Organizations which included
assisting them in planning 11,000+ events each year. Joe spearheaded the development of a new student organization
formation/onboarding process where he assisted students in forming 175+ new student organizations. Additionally, Joe
served as the advisor for a Student Organization where he managed an Executive Board of students who ran a 501(c)(3)
non-profit called “Dance Marathon”. In 4.5 years in the role, Joe assisted students in raising $15,000-$30,000 in Corporate
Sponsorships each year and a total of $830,000+ for Nebraska Children’s Hospital through the facilitation of fundraising
events and programming on campus and in the Lincoln community.

Joe is actively involved in the Sarpy County Republican Party and serves on the County Central Committee, Executive
Committee, and the Constitution/Rules Committee, and is a Parliamentarian and advisor to the County Chairman. At the
state level, Joe serves as District 203’s representative on the NEGOP State Central Committee and is a member of the
NEGOP Constitution/Rules Committee. Joe was elected as a delegate to the NEGOP State Convention in 2022 & 2024 and
was elected as 1 of 36 National Delegates to represent Nebraska at the Republican National Convention this past summer.

Joe’s most recent political role was serving as the Nebraska Field Director for the Trump Force 47 Campaign where he was
responsible for running daily operations of the Trump Victory Office in Omaha. Daily activities were planning and
facilitating events and organizing the Field Program where he recruited, trained, and managed a team of nearly 1,000
volunteers who door knocked, made phone calls, and assisted with other Get Out the Vote and Ballot Chasing efforts. Joe’s
efforts resulted in reducing the vote differential between President Trump and the Democrats in CD2 by nearly 40% from
2020 General Election to the 2024 General election, President Trump winning 2 out of 3 counties in CD2, while receiving the
highest winning percentage in Nebraska out of his three Presidential Campaign runs.

As Political Director, Joe will be responsible for Voter Registration, Candidate Recruitment, Candidate Development &
Support, Campaign Resource Development, County Party Development and Volunteer Engagement.

The objectives of the NEGOP shall be the maintenance of government of, by and for the people according to the Constitution
and laws of the United States and the State of Nebraska, and the furtherance of such principles as may from time to time be
adopted.
