WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Pete Ricketts (R-NE) announced Nebraska natives Brad Stevens as State Director and Ian Swanson as Press Secretary.
“I am proud of the team we are building at home and in Washington, D.C. to serve the people of Nebraska,” said Senator Ricketts. “There is a lot we can do to help Nebraskans navigate the federal bureaucracy and my first priority will be always ensuring my office provides the kind of effective constituent services and straightforward communication taxpayers deserve from their representative in the United States Senate.”
Brad Stevens, who will serve as State Director, previously served six years as Regional Vice President for Americans for Prosperity and Senior Advisor to Americans for Prosperity Action where he built grassroots movements to support free market policies and candidates. Before that, Brad worked as Vice President with political consulting firm Aegis Strategic. A Lincoln resident, he has a master’s in Public Administration from Bellevue University and bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Ian Swanson, who will serve as Press Secretary, returns to Washington, D.C. after working as a radio talk host at KFAB in Omaha, NE. Prior to that, Ian served 2.5 years on the staff of then-Senator Ben Sasse as Outreach Coordinator and worked as the Director of External Relations and State Policy for Nebraska Farm Bureau. A fourth-generation Nebraskan, Ian received a bachelor’s degree in Political Economy from Hillsdale College.
