The Nebraska Republican Party Endorses Candidates

nebraska-gop

During the constitutionally required State Central Committee meeting on January 27,
2024, held in Bellevue, Nebraska the party voted on the first wave of endorsements for
the upcoming 2024 election cycle. A NEGOP endorsement requires a ⅔ vote of the State
Central Committee membership. An endorsement provides an avenue for official
collaboration and usage of party engagement opportunities from Social Media, to event
promotion, to literature mailing.

Pursuant to NEGOP Constitution Article IX, Sec. 14.1-2 Endorsements.
14.1. The Party, including its officers and staff, may endorse a Republican
candidate seeking a federal, statewide, legislative, or multi-county political office in a
contested election if a request for endorsement is made by the candidate seeking
endorsement and the endorsement is approved by a two-thirds vote of the State Central
Committee. In the absence of a request for endorsement and a two-thirds vote of the
State Central Committee, the Party including its officers and staff shall be prohibited
from endorsing and financially supporting such a candidate in a contested election.

If a candidate fails to request an endorsement OR files for candidacy between now and
the March 1st filing deadline for office, a future request can be made to be endorsed at
the next State Central Meeting.
