February 5, 2025 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Edward Adams #65706, age 83, died yesterday at the Reception and Treatment Center.

Adams’ sentence began on April 2, 2007. He was serving a sentence of 85 years to life out of Dodge County for second-degree murder, first-degree assault, and use of a firearm to commit a felony.

While the cause of death has not yet been determined, Adams was being treated for a medical condition. As is the case whenever an inmate dies in the custody of the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS), a grand jury will conduct an investigation.
