Beatrice Man Detained in North Platte Church Burglaries

On March 26th, the burglary of a church located in the 300 block of W. 5th was reported. On April 9th, 2025, an attempted burglary of a church was reported in the 3300 block of S. Oak. Video footage from the church on S. Oak was analyzed and a suspect and suspect vehicle were obtained through the “Flock”, ALPR system.

On April 18th, 2025 a burglary was reported at a church located in the 3300 block of Echo Drive. ALPR cameras indicated the suspect vehicle was in North Platte during the time of the burglary. Officers located the vehicle in the 2100 block of S. Jeffers.

A search warrant was obtained for two vehicles being operated by the suspect, Chad Peterson of Beatrice, NE. Chad Peterson was detained.

The search of the vehicles was conducted. Chad Peterson was arrested for Possession of Burglary Tools a Class IV Felony, Attempted Burglary, a Class IIIA Felony, and for Burglary a Class IIA Felony.

Chad Peterson was incarcerated at the Lincoln County Detention Center.
