North Platte – The North Platte Catholic Schools Board of Education met Tuesday, April 15th for their monthly meeting. The Board ratified the extension of contracts to several new teachers:
Shelly Byrn – K-6 PE, Rose Ann Hornachoz – 7-12 PE/Health, Amy Kylar – 7-12 Theology and Anatomy, Chad Swanson – 9-12 Math. Superintendent Kevin Dodson is still looking to fill vacancies in 6th grade at McDaid, and 7-12 English and Science at St. Pat’s.
In other business, the Board heard a report from the building and grounds committee noting that a bid was accepted for painting and flooring in the St. Pat’s High School cafeteria. That work will take place over the summer, once construction on the new kitchen is complete.
The next Board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 20th, and will begin at 5:30 p.m. with the annual tour of facilities to identify summer maintenance needs. A brief meeting will follow in the St. Pat’s High School library.
