Frontier County’s Dan Stehlik Named NACEB 2023 “Outstanding Advocate” Award Winner

Dan Stehlik will be honored locally February 28 (Wednesday) at an open house reception between 4:00-5:30 pm at NCTA’s Ag Hall Room #9, Curtis, NE for being selected the statewide Nebraska Association of County Extension Board (NACEB) 2023 “Outstanding Advocate” Award winner.

He was presented the award at the NACEB Annual Meeting February 6, held at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center in Lincoln, NE following the NACEB Legislative Day at the NE State Capitol.

Mr. Stehlik is a big promoter of Nebraska Extension programs including 4-H. Dan is an outstanding advocate for all 4-H youth/families as well as FFA & NCTA at the county, state & national levels. He currently serves as the 4-H sheep, goat & llama fair superintendent at the Frontier County Fair in Stockville, NE.

He was a 9 year 4-H member from Dorchester, NE. He is a Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture and University of NE-Lincoln graduate. Over the years Dan has taught high school & college agriculture classes in Red Cloud, NE, Columbus Lakeview, NE, Concordia, KS & Bellevue, KS. He farmed with his family and currently serves as the Ag Mechanics Lecturer at NCTA where he teaches several welding and electrical classes.

He has 25+ years of Diversified Crop & Livestock Enterprise experience including his own sheep flock. Dan serves on several different Sheep Association offices and committees at the state and regional levels.
