Hastings, Neb. – North Platte Community College men’s golf team wrapped up the Nebraska Intercollegiate at the Lochland Country Club in Hastings on Saturday. Knights finished ninth in the team standings amongst NJCAA, NAIA and NCAA DIII teams.
Tristen Timbers led the way with rounds of 80 and 79 to finish 15-over par. Treyten York shot four strokes better on the final day to finish tied for 38th after a final round 78.
Taytom Timbers recorded two birdies on the final day to finish tied for 43rd in the field, while Layne Smotzer shot a final round 82 to finish tied for 45th.
Knights will return to the course for the two-day McCook Community College Invite beginning on Thursday, Oct. 10 at the Heritage Hills Golf Course in McCook.
