Jackson Named B1G Defensive Player of the Week

Nebraska sophomore middle blocker Andi Jackson was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career on Monday. 

Jackson put up 1.57 blocks per set in the Huskers’ wins over Illinois and Michigan over the weekend, while also contributing 3.00 kills per set on .417 hitting to continue to lead the nation in hitting percentage (.472).

In a sweep of Illinois on Friday, Jackson had six blocks to go with 11 kills on .667 hitting. In a 3-1 win against Michigan on Saturday, Jackson finished with five blocks and 10 kills
