December 16, 2024 (Omaha, Neb.) – Edward Lee #34830, age 68, died Saturday, December 14, 2024, at an Omaha hospital. Lee was incarcerated at the Omaha Correctional Center (OCC).
Lee’s sentence began on January 24, 1983. He was serving a life sentence out of Douglas County for first degree murder.
While the cause of death has not yet been determined, Lee was being treated for a medical condition. As is the case whenever an inmate dies in the custody of the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS), a grand jury will conduct an investigation.
