Emily Kammerer has been hired as the new Agriculture Education teacher and FFA Advisor at Hershey Public Schools, bringing a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the role.
Kammerer, a native of Sutherland, Nebraska, cultivated her passion for agriculture early on through active participation in the Sutherland High School FFA chapter. Her dedication and leadership culminated in earning the prestigious American FFA Degree in 2019, the highest honor bestowed by the National FFA Organization, recognizing her commitment to supervised agricultural experiences, leadership, and community involvement.
Following high school, Kammerer attended the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture (NCTA) in Curtis, where she majored in animal science. At NCTA, she continued her FFA involvement, serving as president of the collegiate 4-H/FFA Club.
After graduating from NCTA, Kammerer transferred to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to further her studies in agriculture education. Her academic journey, combined with her leadership experiences, has equipped her with the skills and knowledge to inspire and guide students in agricultural pursuits.
Hershey Public Schools is confident that Kammerer’s dedication and background will greatly benefit the school’s agriculture program and FFA chapter, fostering growth and enthusiasm among students.
